The reasoning

Pricing that fits how firms buy judgment.

Base anchors value

$295/month is less than an hour of principal time at most firms. One better fee call, one surfaced revenue gap, or one scoped additional service often covers the year.

Seats scale with who uses Norma

Most firms start with the decision-makers who need Norma, then add seats as the workspace becomes part of more operating workflows. Per-seat rates step down as you add users, not as employee headcount grows.

No feature gates

Every seat gets the full product: decisions, contracts, valuation intelligence, and exportable outputs. Pricing scales by Norma users, not by locking major features behind higher tiers.

Start with three seats. Add as the firm grows.

Same workspace for every seat. Per-user pricing as you grow.

Common questions

Things firms ask before signing up.

Below are the questions that come up most. If yours isn't here, write us at hello@tal.design.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new workspace gets fourteen days to use the full product without payment. The trial includes every feature available on a paid subscription. We don't believe in feature-limited trials.

Is pricing based on firm size?

No. Pricing is based on Norma users, not total firm employees. Firm size may influence how many people you choose to add, but not every employee needs an account.

Who usually needs a Norma account?

Most firms start with principals, finance/admin leadership, operations, studio leads, and selected project managers. Not every employee needs a Norma account—billing reflects active logins only.

Can we add users later?

Yes. Firms can start with a smaller group and add users as Norma becomes part of more decision workflows.

Are features gated by plan?

No. The base workspace includes the full product. Pricing scales by users, not by locking major features behind higher tiers.

What if we need many Norma seats?

The same tiered per-user rates continue: each Norma seat above 50 is billed at $55 per month. Your bill reflects active Norma logins, not total firm headcount. For a very large number of seats or procurement requirements, contact us at hello@tal.design.

What happens to billing if a user leaves the firm?

Remove the user from the workspace, and the per-seat charge stops at the next billing cycle. There are no per-removal fees. Seat counts are calculated based on active workspace members at billing time.

Can I add or remove seats mid-month?

Yes. Adding a seat is prorated for the remainder of the current billing period. Removing a seat takes effect at the start of the next billing period; there is no prorated refund for partial months.

Do you offer annual billing or prepayment discounts?

Not currently. Monthly billing is straightforward and matches how most architecture firms manage cash flow. We may offer annual billing in the future for firms that want it. If you want it before we offer it, contact us.

What about firms with multiple offices?

A single subscription covers a single firm, typically one legal entity. Firms with multiple legal entities or distinct partnership structures should contact us; we can usually accommodate without a custom contract.

Does the price include integrations with QuickBooks, Deltek, or others?

Yes. As integrations roll out, they're available to all subscribers. Currently, Norma ingests CSV exports from any system. Direct integrations with QuickBooks Online, Deltek Vision and Vantagepoint, Airtable, and Rippling are on the roadmap.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings. Access continues through the end of the current paid period. There are no cancellation fees and no prorated refunds for unused portions of the period.

How does valuation intelligence factor into pricing?

Indicative valuation analysis and structured valuation reasoning in the workspace are included in the subscription—there is no separate charge for valuation intelligence. Firms can explore valuation scenarios as needed; outputs are not a substitute for formal appraisal when one is required.

What if our team uses Norma and we want to onboard a new partner who needs admin access?

Admin and member roles are included for every user. There is no admin-seat upcharge or "owner license" fee. A workspace admin is just a user with a different permission level.

What if our firm needs custom data handling or a signed Data Processing Agreement?

Contact us at hello@tal.design. We work with firms that have specific compliance requirements on a case-by-case basis. For most firms, our published Privacy Policy and Security posture cover what's needed.

What payment methods are accepted?

Major credit and debit cards, processed through Stripe. ACH and wire are available for annual prepayments once that option is offered.
